Well, look what surfaced today from the bowels of our archives. A poem on Powerful Teaching and Learning, left to us at a conference a few years back.
I’m so glad to see you here
I know we’ll have a super year
We all want to improve and do well
So we’ll learn and practice PTL
Skills is where we plan to start
We want our kids to be really smart
There are state standards our kids must know
So on to Knowledge we will go
Thinking needs to happen here
So in our planning it will appear
Concepts are never taught in isolation
Therefore we make use of Application
We want our children to know we care
So relationships we’ll develop there
We work on this for our practice to improve
Reflection will get us in the groove!
