Lesson Planner: An issue with the Lesson Planner timing out during long sessions and, in some cases, losing data has been fixed
Account Confirmation: A server error was thrown when attempting to confirm a user account via the email link when that user had a duplicate account

Accounts: Added “First name” and “Last name” fields to the account creation form
Learning Walks: Items in the Role Lookup option for Observation Fields are now listed as “<LastName, FirstName>” if the user has filled these out in their profile
Home / Documents: Updated the Focus on State Criteria forms for Hawaii buildings to include all five domain focuses

Is it possible, then, to have a good adventure as the result of sound planning? Anyway, some updates to the Lesson Planner and other features and fixes for you.

Features

Learning Walks: Updated the design of the Learning Walk form to simplify the process
Lesson Planner: A new layout and modifications to the lesson plan editor - namely, an activities navigation at the left that allows you to edit one activity at a time
Accounts: Added Re-Send Email and Edit Email Address options for users on the Users and Permissions tab of the Manage Building page so that admins can ensure new users get their account information

Learning Walks: Minor formatting tweaks to the landing page
Learning Walks: You no longer need to select a SMART Goal before clicking Go on a learning walk - the desired SMART Goal of focus can be selected within the form
Learning Walks: Minor formatting tweak to the View page title
Learning Walks: Reflection notes were not showing on the View page
Learning Walks: Fixed an issue in which overall scores from Reflection (Offsite) learning walks were intermittently affecting the Progress report
Lesson Planner: Minor formatting tweaks to the landing page
Lesson Planner: Fixed an issue in which plans that had been left sitting for an extended period of time with no data entered were saved as blank plans on Cancel

More new features - specifically, a virtual Learning Walk feature - to help you reflect and shake up your instructional habits a little bit.

Features

Learning Walks: The new Learning Walks (Virtual) type of Learning Walk (select in the drop-down menu next to the Go button) allows all staff members to conduct virtual Learning Walks for pure reflection and improvement using our classroom clips
Learning Walks: We updated the menu items and page titles of the other Learning Walk types: Reflection and Collection is now Learning Walk (Collection) and Reflection (Offsite) is now Learning Walk (Live)
Documents: Customized STAR documents can now be attached to your building in addition to the default STAR Documents

Fixes

Permissions: The "Member" permission level is now titled "Staff Member"

SMART Goals: You can now create SMART Goals for your team
SMART Goals: You can also now create SMART Goals for yourself
Learning Walks: The new Reflection (Offsite) type of Learning Walk (select in the drop-down menu next to the Go button) allows all staff members to conduct Learning Walks purely for personal reflection and improvement
Learning Walks: Added SMART Goal and Learning Walk type columns to the landing page list
Learning Walks: The notes for the "How could the focus indicators show up more?" question now show up next to the "What did I learn today?" question in the Reflection form, allowing you to copy-and-paste your notes and clean-up for a more concise reflection
Lesson Planner: The layout and features of the landing page has been updated - nothing new, just restructured - to give you faster and cleaner access to your lesson plan data and shared plans

Fixes

Lesson Planner: The Subject and Grade fields are now visible on the View page
Learning Walks: The Collection and Reflection type of Learning Walk is only available for District Administrators, School Administrators, and Teacher Leaders
Learning Walks: Updated the Learning Walk page title to display the type of Learning Walk that is being conducted
Learning Walks: The index field (e.g. Observation 1: Smith) that show up for each observation in the left column of the Learning Walk form now resolves for the current observation when you navigate to Reflection or another Observation
Learning Walks: Your Reflection data is now automatically saved when you click New Observation
Learning Walks: Fixed an incorrect validation issue in which an error message appeared upon attempting a Learning Walk for a building without set Custom Observation Fields

We felt like expanding the SMART Goal/Learning Walks capabilities so we added the ability to add a fourth indicator. This will allow you to create SMART Goals that focus on state evaluation criteria. For example, if you're in Washington State and your district has chosen the Danielson Framework, you could create a SMART Goal that focuses on 7, 8, 9, and 14 to improve your practices related to Criterion 2. View our crosswalk resources for more details.

SMART Goals: You can now select up to four indicators when creating a SMART Goal, which also allows you to conduct Learning Walks on four indicators

Fixes

Learning Walks: On the Observation form, we (a) applied some style tweaks (spacing, aligned, formatting), (b) simplified the new Indicator scoring sliders, (c) changed the question prompts from dynamic, based on the score, to static, which better aligns with the paper Learning Walk form, (d) added a prompt above the indicator scoring sliders, and (e) swapped the position of strategy examples textbox with the indicator scoring sliders to also better align with the paper form
Learning Walks: Added clarity to the "No SMART Goal..." warning message that pops up when you click the Learning Walk button without having a SMART Goal selected
