College Tracking

Every year the Research team at The BERC Group aggregates, analyzes and publishes college attendance, persistence, and graduation data on students in Washington State and publishes it free for the public at collegetracking.com. Recently, data for the 2004 to 2010 graduating classes data was updated and new data was added for the 2011 graduating class.

Scroll down to get a quick idea of the types of data you can find in the free report. The custom reports take a deep dive into your district or school's specific data.

Filter and Group the Data

You can filter data down to the district and school level and by college type, you can choose your data type (college entrance or graduation data), and can group the data by demographic.

View Overall Data

By default, you see overall data for the selected grouping (state, district, or school) and view (college direct or college graduate).

Selecting to view the data by the gender demographic will show separate series' for male and female students.

Group by Ethnicity

Selecting to view the data by the ethnicity demographic will show separate series' for African-American, American Indian, Asian, Caucasian, Hispanic, and Other/Multi-Racial students.

Group by Free / Reduced Lunch (FRL) Status

Selecting to view the data by the FRL status demographic will show a bar chart comparing students that in 2009 were not in the FRL program ("No") with those that were ("Yes").

View College Graduation Numbers

The college graduates view shows the number of students that have stayed in college all the way through graduation. The same filters and groupings apply. For example, here we see college graduates grouped by ethnicity.

You can also filter the data by the type of college, two-year or four-year, that students either entered or graduated from. This view shows four-year college direct numbers split by gender.

The Clearinghouse maintains a comprehensive electronic registry of student records that provides a single, automated point-of-contact for organizations and individuals requiring timely, accurate verification of student enrollment, degree, and loan data.
