COMMITTED AND COMPREHENSIVE

Using the STAR Classroom Observation Protocol®, BERC researchers can efficiently assess student learning in the areas of Skills/knowledge, Thinking, Application and Relationships. STAR Observations provide a comprehensive review of the presence of Powerful Teaching and Learning throughout a school or district.

This data is compiled into a comprehensive report and is available for review by administration and teachers. These reports can be presented to groups for a better understanding of the review, STAR indicators, and information about Powerful Teaching and Learning concepts. The data from this review can be used to inform professional development activities and to monitor improvement over time. Combined with an evaluation, classroom observation provides an overall picture of the school or district.
