Join a community of online learners as they explore the Essential Components of Powerful Teaching and Learning!

This course will help you understand and apply research related to the Essential Components of Powerful Teaching and Learning™. The course is engaging, inspiring, practical and, most importantly, supports the development of effective instructional strategies that engage all learners.

The Powerful Teaching and Learning Contrasting Video Series used in this course includes several educators teaching lessons to different groups of students in two different ways. One way is aligned with pre-educational reform goals; the other is aligned with current educational reform goals and Powerful Teaching and Learning. The DVDs also include lesson planning sessions, lesson debriefs, interviews, and commentaries. The videos, along with the STAR Classroom Observation Protocol™, are the foundation of the course.

This online course is offered in association with Seattle Pacific University.
